The annual SPA Golf Tournament will take place on Thursday 17th May 2018 at Boundary Lakes, the new 18 hole parkland course at the Ageas Bowl, complete with USGA standard greens and five shimmering lakes set against the backdrop of the home of Hampshire cricket and offers a stern test for both high and low handicappers.

Arrival at 12 noon for coffee and bacon roll. Tee Off 1.30pm (Shotgun or Tee Time Start Dependent on numbers). Followed by Barbecue and presentation of trophies and prizes.

Teams of four with the best two scores to count. This is an opportunity to invite your clients to participate in this Four Ball Stableford competition. Do you want to play but can't raise a team? If you wish to play as an individual or bring along a guest, we can make up teams for you. Cost per individual is £60 per person.

2018 SPA Clay Shoot

The 2018 SPA Clay Shoot

Venue: Acorn Shooting School at Compton Manor,

Date: Friday 18th May, arrive by 12.30 pm for a 1.00 pm start

Entries: Teams of 4 guns, or we will try to accommodate individual entries

by forming them into teams.

Cost: £440 per team (£110 per gun) to include:

  • Tea, coffee and bacon roll on arrival, soft drinks and cake during shooting.
  • Competition comprising 50 clays per gun, over 8 varied “sporting” stands, plus a 50-clay Team Flush.
  • Once the shooting has finished – wine and beer will be served.
  • The scores will be recorded and the Winning Team, Team Runners-up, Individual Top Gun and Top Team Flush will receive prizes.
  • All cartridges are included, and each of the competition stands will be manned by a qualified instructor, to help any novices / improvers.

The David Olds Memorial Prize, an award donated by SPA in memory of David,

will be presented to the highest scoring team. Dutton Gregory are again

generously sponsoring drinkable prizes for both the winning team and the

runners up. E3 Consulting are again very kindly sponsoring the Top Gun Trophy

and the Team Flush prizes,

We are still keen to attract other sponsors – particularly for the marquee, so if

your firm would like to benefit from exposure to over 100 fellow property people,

As before, numbers for this event are strictly limited - we are over-subscribed

every year and have to disappoint a lot of would-be entrants, so please book

Annual Southampton Property Association CPD Event

This year our annual CPD event will be held at the iconic Pod conference suite in 'The Spark' at Southampton Solent University. Once again we have assembled a fantastic line up of speakers all of whom will offer expertise and experience from the top of their respective professions and unique insights into the Property sector in Southampton and the Solent region.


Sandeep Sesodia Chair of the Southampton area board of Hampshire Chamber of Commerce will explain the role of the Chamber and how it can promote growth in your business sector.

Ian Pratt Director and Shareholder of Scott Brownrigg, will be providing an insight into the innovative design and technical challenges overcome during delivery of the award-winning Pod project.

Clive Thomson Mediator and Dispute Resolution veteran at Paris Smith LLP will be sharing with us his insight and strategies for making offers, negotiating successful settlements and alternative approaches to dispute resolution.

Allan Gordon, Managing Director of The National Regional Property Group, will offer insights into delivering complex development through collaboration and team commitment. NRPG have regenerated Southampton's city centre site at the old Fruit and Veg Market and are currently helping bring life to other long neglected areas of our local urban environment.

Jen Lemen Partner at Property Elite will be updating us all on the hot topics in property

Tim Wright from Ocuair will perform a drone demonstration, explain the value and uses of thermal imagery and predict where this exciting industry may be heading next.

The 5 June 2018 event will start with registration and networking 08.30 to 09.00. The first session will be followed with a coffee break at 11am, and the second session will finish at 13.00. Guests are encouraged to enjoy a light lunch and further networking opportunities until 14.00.

LSH Touch Rugby 2018

The 13th Southampton Commercial Touch Rugby Competition

Friday, 8th June 2018 at Winchester Rugby Football Club.

First round of games will kick off at 1.00pm and the final will take place at c. 5.00pm.

£100 per team – All proceeds to Prostate Cancer UK.

After the success of last year please join the SPA and the BPA for the second Summer ball!

The evening is being held on Friday 15th June at the prestigious Beaulieu National Motor Museum in Brockenhurst.

In order to work more collaboratively with the BPA we are hosting this event jointly and it will be a great opportunity for your company to network with property professionals from across the South Coast.

The summer ball’s theme is masquerade and black tie so get your masks at the ready for a night of vintage cars, jazz music, fancy raffle, drinking and networking. There are only 240 places available so make sure you reserve your place soon.

The format of the evening:

  • 6:30pm – Arrival

Take time to look at Vintage Motors and enjoy the Drinks Reception

  • 8pm – Dinner

Start the Vintage three course dinner including wine.

  • 9:30pm – Jazz Band Entertainment

Have your dance shoes at the ready and enjoy the jazz band that will take you back to the roaring 1920’s era.

  • 10:30-10:45pm – Raffle prize announcement

Take a break from all the dancing and tke part in the fancy raffle.

  • 10:45–11:30pm – Jazz Band Entertainment

Continue busting your moves on the dance until the end of the night.

  • 12am – Carriages.

  • Table of 10 = £650 (£65 per person)
