Annual Clay Shoot

13th June 2016

In a scene redolent of a Spaghetti Western, over 70 guns blasted their way around 8 stands on a sunny Hampshire afternoon in May, competing for the newly created David Olds Trophy which, fittingly, was won by a team calling themselves the Good, the Bad, the Ugly and the Desperate, or something like that anyhow. Intrepid SPA Chairwoman, Nella Pang, was there to present the trophy to those worthy victors and also a pen to Peter Cliffe- Roberts for organising such a splendid event, following which medicinal wine was consumed by many to quench gunpowder-parched throats. That said, remarkably few clays were harmed during the event.
