In a scene redolent of a Spaghetti Western, over 70 guns blasted their way
around 8 stands on a sunny Hampshire afternoon in May, competing for the
newly created David Olds Trophy which, fittingly, was won by a team calling
themselves the Good, the Bad, the Ugly and the Desperate, or something
like that anyhow. Intrepid SPA Chairwoman, Nella Pang, was there to
present the trophy to those worthy victors and also a pen to Peter Cliffe-
Roberts for organising such a splendid event, following which medicinal wine
was consumed by many to quench gunpowder-parched throats. That said,
remarkably few clays were harmed during the event.
Our 2018/19 Charity we are supporting is the Society of St James - a Hampshire-based homelessness charity, providing accommodation and support to over 2500 people each year. Thank you to all our members for your fund raising help thus far.
