18 teams competed last Friday 17th October at a hotly contested Texas Scramble held at Meon Valley Golf & Country Club. The weather was set fair for the afternoon with some excellent golf being played on the tough Meon Valley Course. The eventual winners were the team from Odyessey Consult of Brian Chamberlain, Harvey Beveridge, Nigel Jarvis and Martin Hawthorne with a net score of 51.5. Runners Up were the team from Vail Williams of Simon Tubbs, Ben Duly, Tom George and Nick Roberts with a score of net 54. Longest Drive on the 10th was won by Will George from Eddisons and Nearest the Pin was won by Brian Chamberlain from Odyssey Consult.

The Southampton Property Association has reached a new milestone with a record membership of 400 professionals from the property industry. Last Friday (27th June) saw a very good turn out for our monthly Friday Frolics event sponsored by the Ashville Group. Over 72 golfers battled it out at Skylark Golf and Country Club for the SPA Golf Trophy. The course running well in these dry conditions produced some excellent scoring from some teams and not so good for others, with the team from Odyssey Consult coming out on top with an exceptional score of 100 stableford points. A delicious barbecue followed the golf with our sponsor David Pratt from Vision Architects handing out the prizes.. Dear Member Applications are invited to serve on the 2025 Southampton Property Association Committee.  Committee members assist one another in organising events throughout the year and a committee meeting is held in Southampton on the first Wednesday of each month at 12.30pm, usually lasting for about one hour.  Committee members are not paid for their time, but there is an annual committee lunch by way of thanks. In the event of more applications being received for the committee places than are available, a secret ballot will be held of those SPA members present at the Annual General Meeting, which is to be held on the evening of Monday, 20th January 2025 at The Southampton University Officer’s Training Corps, 32 Carlton Place, Southampton SO15 2DX, full details of which will follow.
