Following on from the successful case law update earlier this year, Lester Aldridge’s Construction & Engineering team will be hosting a practical round table workshop on Wednesday 18 September 2024 at our new offices at Mountbatten House, Grosvenor Square, Southampton, SO15 2JU from 6.00pm to 8.30pm.
Please join our team for an interactive and instructive evening during which you will explore the travails of Dermot ”Lucky” O’Reilly as he tries to build a dream luxury home.
The workshop will offer practical advice and useful takeaways for developers, consultants, contractors and surveyors who are looking to expand their knowledge of JCT contracts’ provisions and mechanisms, and how to appropriately use these when things go wrong. Attendees will gain key practical tips which can immediately be used in current contract negotiations and live projects.
The format will involve a round table discussion based on fictional scenarios in small groups of 8-10 people – each group being chaired by a Lester Aldridge Construction and Engineering lawyer. The workshop is intended to mimic a “site meeting” with plenty of builder’s tea and grub – save that no finger-pointing is allowed! There will also be an opportunity for attendees to network after the workshop.
Hosted by: Amy Lewis, Rachel Gimson, Estelle Boullet & Stephen Rockhill
There is no cost for this workshop. Free drinks and nibbles will be provided.
