Following the success of our second event, we are thrilled to announce the next instalment of the SPA and Omnia Consulting  Speed Networking event! This will be hosted in November 2023, kindly sponsored by Dutton Gregory Solicitors. As with our previous two events, our Speed Networking is designed to be a relaxed and welcoming space for the next generation of property professionals to practice their networking skills and meet likeminded people from across the industry. Our tried-and-tested structured speed networking format has been a great success previously, and our venue lends itself to a fantastic afternoon. Leadership Coach Astrid Davies is back once again to provide networking hints and tips, which can be carried forward to future networking opportunities. SPA Annual General Meeting

Dear Member   We are delighted to return once more to the beautiful surroundings of the University Officers' mess in Carlton Place for the SPA 2024 AGM.   I therefore give formal notice of the 77th Annual General Meeting of Southampton Property Association to be held at 6.30 pm on Monday, 22nd January 2024 at the University of Southampton Officers' Training Corps building, 32 Carlton Place, Southampton SO15 2DX.   In a departure from the usual programme, proceedings this year will commence with an afternoon CPD seminar from 3.30 pm with Claire Bailey from Savills giving a Commercial Property Update, followed at 4.15 pm with George Long of Charters on the Southampton Census.  The customary drinks reception is at 5.30 pm with the AGM at 6.30 pm.  Professor Helen Carr of Southampton University will deliver the final CPD talk of the day on the First Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber) at 7.00 pm, and we close proceedings with the declaration of the ballot for the 2024 committee.   All timings are of course approximate.   There is no charge to members for the afternoon and evening, but because of the sensitivity of the location members need to advise that they are to attend all or part of the day using the Eventbrite link please.   Regrettably, we may be unable to admit those who have not done so, or indeed should the number proposing to attend reach the building’s authorised capacity. The 2024 SPA Annual Clay Shoot

Venue: Acorn Shooting School at Beacon Hill Farm, Salisbury SP4 0EL (www.acornshooting.com) Date: Friday 17th May, arrive by 12.00 pm for a 12.30 pm start Entries: Teams of 4 guns, or we will try to accommodate individual entries by forming them into teams. Cost: £580 per team (£145 per gun) to include: • Tea, coffee, bacon rolls and pastries on arrival. • Soft drinks, homemade cakes and cream teas during shooting. • Competition comprising 50 clays per gun, over 8 varied “sporting” stands, plus a 100-clay Team Flush. • Once the shooting has finished – wine and beer will be served. • The scores will be recorded and prizes and trophies including Top Team, Team Runners-up, Top Gun and Top Team Flush will be awarded. • All cartridges are included, and each of the competition stands will be manned by a qualified instructor, to help any novices / improvers. The David Olds Memorial Prize, an award donated by SPA in memory of David, will be presented to the highest scoring team.  E3 Consulting  are kindly sponsoring various prizes and we are grateful to them for their continued support.
