3rd July 2017

The evening of the year was held on Friday 16th June, a beautiful sunny evening for the spa / BPA summer ball.

The first time joint venture between the two associations was a fantastic evening of vintage cars / dresses and cocktails. Held at Beaulieu motor museum guests arrived for the drinks reception sponsored by Dutton Gregory "It was a great pleasure for Dutton Gregory to be able to sponsor this event and to see the wonderful efforts everyone had gone to in embracing the vintage black tie theme. The mood was relaxed and a good time was had by all, helped by the brilliant Swing Unlimited Big Band”, says Denise Bull of Dutton Gregory.

Guests then partook in looking around the museum with their vintage cocktails until they were called to dinner. Just prior to being seated Nella Pang chairwoman of the Southampton Property Association said a few words about the year to date in the property market and what the association has been actively doing for its members. Nella said; “I was proud to be able to host our first joint SPA and BPA, which was massive success bringing together property professionals from Bournemouth and Southampton. Beaulieu Motor Museum was a fantastic location to host something different and for such a great cause. Thank you to all those that attended and our sponsors for making this event possible”.

This was followed by Lucy Rothstein of Yellow Door who were the chosen charity for the evening. Lucy thanks people for attending and made the guests aware of the work that yellow door do, Lucy commented; “Yellow Door was absolutely delighted to be the Charity of Choice for this event and we would like to say an enormous thank you to the sponsors, organisers and everyone who attended. The venue was fantastic and the evening blessed with such lovely weather! To have the opportunity to promote Yellow Door’s work and raise awareness about what we do, to such a captive audience was very appreciated. I’m delighted to say that the proceeds from the Ball will be put to incredibly good use – helping us to support first hand those affected by domestic and sexual abuse”.

The three course dinner was held in one of Beaulieu’s elegant suite’s which held over 210 property professionals for the rest of the night.

To begin the evening of frolics Alexandra Eaton Chairwoman of the Bournemouth Property Association asked guests to feel around under their seats to find a table prize.. kindly donated by Rowan Photography a prize worth £225 for a photo session in chandlers ford was won by two guests per table. Alex then thanked people for attending the evening and reminded people of the format. The evening continued as an easy going networking dinner which also had a silent auction to raise extra money for yellow door. Some of the fantastic prizes won were a night stay at the brand new Harbour Hotel in ocean village, Southampton and VIP bestival tickets for the September festival!
